Unique, Topshop’s runway figurehead, is to drop its Resort 2016 collection on stores and online by November 4 – and the collection is one to seriously covet. Prepare yourself to challenge the long waiting list to get your hands on these London spirited pieces – as the Muse walks along Soho, after whose streets each piece is named.
The collection consists of the dandy looking crushed velvet suits in pink and black, leather dresses, skirt, and pants – plain and embroidered, leopard printed fur coat, and a metallic graphite mini dress; together with more classic and elegant pieces like striped knits and floral printed dresses.
Created in the image of that cool, fun-loving British party girl, Geoffrey Finch, the brand’s creative design consultant, who worked with creative director Kate Phelan, remarked, “She’s sort of rebellious and bohemian in the best possible way”. This free-spirited attitude and then conveyed into the clothing in the form of vibrant silhouettes with a nod to the 80s. “Hence the eclectic mix of bold tiger prints, crushed velvet, and draped leather throughout,” said Flinch.
