Love it or hate it, but this collaboration of the footwear line between Kanye West and Adidas Originals dominated fashion headlines throughout the year. Kanye West’s latest work into footwear design may have been under the Three Stripes and not the Swoosh, but that doesn’t mean the response to the newest addition of Yeezy lineage has been any less frenzied. In fact, the YEEZY Boost 350 has certainly been the most successful silhouette from the Kanye West-designed YEEZY collection by adidas Originals. The latest release was in December 2015, presenting the he YEEZY boost 350 in the “tan” colorway. Here’s why the pair is the “internet frenzy” kicks of the moment.
The simple fact that Kanye West designed this shoe is enough to flock all of the “Yeezus” supporters to cop this most anticipated shoe of the year. The first ever Yeezy release was highly at $350 but then they have cut the price to $200, that made it sell out instantly. To the comparison, when the first images of the Yeezy 350 Boost emerged, everyone immediately compared the shoe to the popular Roshe Run from Nike. And since everyone loves the Roshe Run, everyone decided that they love the Yeezy 350 Boost too even when it costs three times the price.
About the shoe itself, the trainers have a lightweight, woven upper and has a sock-like fit to provide optimum comfort. The sneakers are made of Primeknit, “a breakthrough material developed using the latest digital engineering methods to fit like a second skin,” according to Adidas on their latest innovative technology. The comfy-yet-high-performing slip-ons with rope laces are hyper-charged with an endless supply of light, fast energy. The silhouette is as minimalist as it gets. A low-key tan colorway with great materials plus small details brings this model together graciously. Various shades of Tan appear on the laces, heel tab, lining and suede accent placed on the side panels. The outsole of the shoe uses the adidas boost technology for maximum comfort.
There’s no denying that Kanye is one talented, influential, creative and iconic figure when it comes to nowadays music, fashion and pop culture. It is only obvious that his latest foray to the fashion world hugely made an overnight campouts, instant sellouts, as well as tons of Instagram flexing – well, you know the drill. If people are willing to buy a $120 white t-shirt Kanye was associated with, you know picking up this shoe isn’t even a question. According to Hypebeast, the word is that there will be six more Yeezy Boost 350 colorways this 2016, which we’re already looking forward to.
