Kenzo has released a dramatic fashion film to showcase its pre-AW collection. Named Sun To Sun, it’s a vivid reimagining of the Japanese folktale. Sun to Sun is a feminist take on the classic Japanese folk tale, Momotaro, which tells of a hero who descends to earth inside a giant peach to battle demons. Kenzo's adapted hero is a modern woman called Momoko who, along with her crew of Harajuku bikers, fends off crime with baseball bats. There are picturesque scenes of Japan's countryside, city streets bathed in neon light, and beautiful animated portions from Sanghon Kim all shot across Kamakura, Fujisawa and Tokyo. These girls are of course dressed in its pre-AW collection. Sink into Sun to Sun below.
