Having only made its international debut in the spring/summer 2014 season, japanese sandal brand SUICOKE has garnered quite a following for its bold yet simple sandal designs.
Established in 2006, suicoke is a cult japanese brand that has become known worldwide for its wide selection of performance sandals, which also starred in collaborations with partners the likes of norse projects and mastermind. For its latest collaboration with Italian retailer Slam Jam, its designs have reached a whole new plane with the bombastic and liberal use of loud prints and colors.
Taking inspiration from Issey Miyake designs of the late ’90s, this collaboration sees the Kisee sandal outfitted in shades of blue, red, yellow and olive, with neoprene padding is rendered in a black and white pattern. Bolstering its foot feel are a molded Vibram footbed and Vibram Morflex soles. SUICOKE is now opening a pop-up shop at Liger in Hong Kong for the launch of the Slam Jam and SUICOKE collaboration for Spring/Summer 2016. Catch them at Liger from May 4 to June 4, as well as the launch party on May 5 from 6 to 8 p.m.
