As a generation with a certain penchant on doing #throwbacks, it’s always seen as a good chance to reminisce about the good old times. Various Disney-themed merchandises, for instance, would be welcomed with certain enthusiasm for it’s something that could take us back straight to our childhood. So when KENZO releases a collection inspired The Jungle Book from Disney’s classic, we’re quite intrigued.
The Parisian house is releasing a capsule collection as a nod to the release of The Jungle Book live action version in the upcoming April 15. Although might not be as celebrated as, say, The Lion King, or the illustrious Princesses numbers, the current remake of Jungle Book is predicted to be big. The live action is going to be adorned with stars like Bill Murray, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johnsson and Idris Elba.
As for the collection, Kenzo presents various wearable pieces for men and women with elements taken from the drawings of the 1967 original movies. One of the pieces includes the iconic lion sweatshirt which, instead of decorated with the usual lion, features Sere Khan’s head for a change. The collection launched April 1 at Kenzo brick-and-mortar locations is now available at Bergdorf Goodman, and from April 7 at kenzo.com.
