Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 2015 Handbags

For the Fall 2015 collection, Proenza Schouler sent out some strong looks out for the world. Drawing inspiration from abstract expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler and influenced by sculptor Robert Morris’ works, it is stated that the collection takes its cue from the New York School, the mid- century movement that shifted the focus of the art world to New York for the first time in art history.

On their runway, the house presented clothes that has been cut, slashed, and pieced together. This is to create the feeling of movement and freedom. This was interpreted on the designs of their accessories as well. From the new accessories that were introduced, there are the Kent Shoulder Bag and the Carlton Clutch. The Kent Shoulder Bag features a top handle with a front leather flap with an exterior pocket and a detachable shoulder strap and the Carlton Clutch is a rectangular clutch that has wrap around zipper and includes a top flap detail. Notice how the clutches are made out of leather and constructed in a way that allows it to look fluid. The Kent Bags are also of brilliant colors for fall and structured very well, strong but not stiff.

In addition to those new models, the Kent Bag also returns this season in new colors and a mini size. The classic bags like the PS1, PS11, and Courier bags also come in new styles like Tweed, Shearling and Metallic, and Woven Leather.
