Coming up a completely new sneaker design might sound like an impossible job. Because for the seemingly millions design that were already released, how much more can be left out there? However if you’re a brand who proclaim sneaker day, it’s absolutely your job to keep coming up with new things. And to give a spark of excitement for their newest release, Nike adorns their SB Janoski type with a generous amount of pepperoni.
This might not be the first time for the swoosh to release food-themed design. Previously, they came up with the Dunk Low “Cold Pizza,” and the “Waffle” version of Dunk High. But this latest collaboration with Skate Mental might be the most delicious of the bunch. And by delicious, we mean that the shoe design is the closest one to resemble the food. Featuring pepperoni prints allover, the shoes is also completed with a red marinara lining that can easily get your appetite confused. Pro tips: Better not wear them when you are hungry.
However, regarding the experimental design, some might be a fan while some other might see this as just a marketing gimmick—which is brilliant by the way, because there are few other foods that can be as irresistible as pizza. But the question is, do you love pizza enough to want to wear them as footwear?
