On first glance you wouldn’t have thought that these lively numbers of furniture are produced by the eponymous Swedish brand, IKEA. But it is, indeed. In fact, from their latest limited edition collection called TILLFÄLLE, the brand quite playfully deviates from their usual neutral palette. Instead, variations of vibrant patterns in shades like green, blue, and yellow are introduced.
The inspiration from TILLFÄLLE collection comes from one the most festive land on earth: Brazil. Inspired by its tropical festivity, the collection features patterns from tropical trees, to colorful geometric ones. Those patterns are meant to be mixed together to bring an unexpectedly pleasant dynamics to your home. Aside from the colorful touch and shapes, the Brazilian vibe also reflects in their choice of materials. Authentic Brazilian woods like beech wood, eucalyptus wood, mango wood were used extensively in the collection.
While celebrating Brazilian way of life, IKEA is keeping their identity by maintaining the Scandinavian sensibility. Each of the items are created with their signature practicality and minimal silhouette. The collection offers a range from large pieces of furniture (like a color-blocked cabinet or cart-like table) to smaller accessories (like a salt and pepper shaker or glazed plate) and has launched in March 20 in the U.S.
