H&M is unveiling the new AW16 Studio collection last Thursday, due to hit store later this year. The collection is elevated and diverse, containing individual pieces and rich in detail. There is a new femininity in this H&M Studio collection, it’s about female strength and power, with a fresh look at folklore and romance.“This collection is about the strength and beauty of women, and how we express that power through our style. I love the contrast of strong tailoring with handicraft touches of Swedish heritage and folklore,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Creative Advisor.
The folkloric romance and extreme femininity shines through the whole collection, which mixes Swedish heritage and handicraft. From tailoring with strong, oversized shoulders to long-sleeved drape dresses that bring glamour and softness. The collection also includes menswear and kidswear pieces. There was also a fresh interest in a feminine silhouette created by the shoulders and waist, with added drama and posture from gaucho hats and cowboy boots. To conclude, this collection was like Swedish folklore inspired dipped in modernity.
This limited edition collection will be available only in H&M Grand Indonesia and online starting September 8.
