After spoiling sneakerheads with a very successful collaboration earlier this year by releasing versions of Reebok’s Classic Leather and Freestyle Hi sneakers – 500 pairs available in Japan only, which according to Reebok Japan Director Satoru Endo “sold out in a second,” Kitsuné and Reebok is set to release a global project together in a form of a capsule collection.
Scheduled to be out on September 12, 2015, the capsule collection is designed by Maison Kitsuné’s very own Masaya Kuroki, and when asked about the unisex nature of the collection, he explained that it all comes down to the concept of ‘play all together’. He wanted to say that team sports are not only for one gender.
In relation to Reebok’s historical and modern ties with the sport, this capsule collection consists of baseball themed apparels like the red and white varsity jacket, logo raglan tee and shorts, baseball embellished cap and jersey, athletic socks, and the adorable fox and baseball printed t-shirt. Also part of this collection is the (dual-tone) white Classic Leather Nylon shoes.
