Christian Louboutin celebrates the debut of the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection with the world premiere of “La Répétition.” He merged dance with its iconic red sole heels and tapping choreographer, dancer and filmmaker Blanca Li as the director. The new fashion film features a group of dancers performing in the collection.
Taking inspiration from “A Chorus Line,” the film and accompanying images depict the powerful Li as a sophisticated, yet exacting choreographer in the studio with a stylish cast of professional dancers. Its shows Li's demanding choreography until one collapses of exhaustion (ironically it's a male dancer in sneakers rather than one of the women twirling around in six inch heels). The short film manages to make dancing in studded stilettos, heeled booties and platforms look like an easy walk in the park and will undoubtedly make you want to invest in a pair of Louboutin's fall 2016 collection. Also accompanying the the film is a lookbook photographed by Rene Habermacher in Paris, showcasing the new shoes in action at the dance studio.
