In just a few hours after the big news hit instagram and twitter, the anticipation is rising quickly as it spreads around the globe. The Swedish fashion-retail announced their collaboration with one of the Parisienne Couture House, Balmain, for a high-end collection on November 5.
As a tradition, Hennes and Mauritz will pick one fashion house every year to design a special capsule collection for H&M, globally. With the succession of last year’s Alexander Wang sporty luxe ready-to-wear, and 10 previous other collaborations, H&M welcomes a new opportunity to invite one of the most iconic french-fashion label to celebrate the fashion nation.
The head designer of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing said in a interview that he is excited and honored to be a part of this project. H&M is one of the leading fashion retail worldwide, and to be able to work globally instead, Olivier has challenged himself to create what we might consider to be the most intricate fashion staples that H&M will offer on the shelves.
The collaboration will be between rich and glamour with twists that comes in different garments and of course couture-level-craftsmanship level that has been an iconic element for Balmain. The collection will include womenswear, menswear, accessories and shoes. So “join the nation”, be a part of #HMBalmaination this November, and be ready to visit H&M’s nearest stores around you.
