Balmain's new FW'16 campaign, starring Kanye West, that was teased by Olivier Rousteing last week, is actually a Yeezy music video for his Life of Pablo track "Wolves". The brooding video, directed by Steven Klein, features a black and white fashion show hilighting pieces from Balmain’s upcoming collection. With a host of famous models, including Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, Jon Kortajarena, Cindy Crawford (and a cameo by Kylie Jenner). Eye-catching pieces and tears of emotion came from those models as well as Kanye and Kim.
“This is definitely one of the most incredible campaigns I’ve ever done. When I saw Kanye singing, Kim moving, the models walking and crying, the tears on Kanye, the tears on Kim—I was just like, ‘Wow,’ Olivier Rousteing tells Vogue. Indeed, the video is an artful marriage between the glossy world of Balmain and the grungy aesthetic West favors. Solos from Sia and Vic Mensa bring the visual full circle as it closes with ending credits. Watch the campaign below.
