Galeries Lafayette Jakarta just held an opening reception of ARTmosphere – a never seen before art celebration hosted by the lifestyle department store, on August 11, 2016. ARTmosphere is a collaboration of Galeries Lafayette Jakarta with A.R.T, ROH Projects, PER Jakarta, and Harper’s Bazaar Indonesia that runs from 1 until 31 August 2016. The idea is to support Indonesian artists and designers to continue on making creation and to invite people all around the world to appreciate art, especially Indonesian art. The event is made not to sell art, but to focus on the art itself, because art is unique and diverse in which describes the diversity and cultures of Indonesia that Galeries Lafayette want to support through art. Converting the department store into an art destination, Galeries Lafaye invites art enthusiasts in Jakarta to enjoy the most fashion-art-able installation.
A.R.T – The collaboration between three well-known interior & product designers Abie Abdillah, Rina Renville, and Luthfi Hasan.
ROH – The creation of Artists and Fashion Designers to present the contemporary fashion concept and accessories lead by Junior Tirtadji. Artists that are part of the ROH Projects are Aditya Novali, Bagus Pandega, Syaiful Garibaldi, Erwin Windu Pranata, Uji Handoko, and many more.
PER Jakarta as the Indonesian – French Foundation will present a ordable paintings for charity. All the results from the sales will be used to support under privileged children in Jakarta as the social care program of Galeries Lafaye e Jakarta.
Not to limit the creations and innovations, Galeries Lafaye e also invites Pacific Place MALLart and Bazaar Art Jakarta as part of the festive art season. The installation will take place in the corridor presenting German artists – Bertamaria Reetz and Rainer Bonk in “Blue Sheep – A Flock of Peace”.
“The growing of Indonesian Arts will need the new pla orm to bring the a ention of the whole world. Galeries Lafayette Jakarta is the right pla orm. ARTmosphere will become the spotlight of the Art celebration this August,” said Arnolda Ratnawati – Corporate PR, Sales, and CRM Director of Panen Lestari Internusa. In the end, ARTmosphere by Galeries Lafayette is expected to a ract around 200,000 visitors over one month and will showcase more than 100 masterpieces.
