Have you ever wanted to work in the sneaker industry? And perhaps you’ve always dreamed of pursuing a creative career in New York City? Well, this one is for you. After recently revealing that they are hiring new employees for Kanye West’s YEEZY brand, the Three Stripes are putting the call out for an army of creators to join them at their Brooklyn Farm creative centre.
The Brooklyn Farm of Adidas is an open source center that’s designed to help shape creative direction across the entire brand and grow and foster emerging design talent. It will feature a high-tech MakerLab, a development-driven workshop that allows creators to prototype ideas, make things, break things, test and discover. And it will house around 10 permanent staff and another 30 or 40 rotating workers. "It’s bigger than just design," said Adidas North America Group President Mark King, in a recent interview with the Business Journal. "It's to kind of break through the thinking on what could our company be."
The Brooklyn Farm is slated to open this fall, as employees will in turn be working with three VP’s and Global Creative Directors Marc Dolce, Denis Dekovic and Mark Miner. Currently eight positions are open on careers.adidas-group.com:
